This low energy passive house and inspired family home is a true self build for Directing Architect, Ian. The corner shaped plot made for an interesting design, and won awards for its sustainability and architecture.

FAMILY ORIENTATED

Velidhu was designed for Ian’s family with children and practicality at its heart. The open plan kitchen and dining area provide space for interconnected activities and the garden allows for active hobbies.

HIGH END FINISH

The cantilevered master bedroom twists over the ground floor and the sedum roof provides elegant contrast to the glass roof of the sun room. The house has subtle touches that make it stand out as a beautiful building.

SUSTAINABLE FEATURES

This low energy house maximises passive and active solar gains to need very little heating during the winter and run off rainwater all summer. Expertly designed to fit the corner-plot without damaging the environment.
