This stick build marks a return to roots for ARCO₂. Sharing the same specification as prefabricated buildings done previously, the Community Farm building was constructed on-site owing to severe access limitations. The building incorporates a fully equipped specialised class base with break out area for students together with a designated menagerie for small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and rats.
The building is of post and beam construction and supports a brown roof promoting vegetation growth from the site. The project cost, a mere L110,000, reflects ARCO₂‘s ethical values since without this largely ‘not for profit’ approach these facilities would not have been possible.
