This home was conceived around a simple form to ensure that the construction costs were kept to a minimum. The materials had to be economical and in keeping with the rural area. This new build home needed to support our clients living 'the good life!'

MODEST HOME

The Architectural style has been curated around the need to maintain a rustic aesthetic whilst ensuring that the design has continuity. A choice pallet of materials to the external finishes have been selected to maintain a modest dwelling in the countryside.

OPEN PLAN LIVING SPACE

The open plan ground floor design has direct access to the garden terrace and spectacular sloping garden views. An abundance of natural light fills the kitchen and adjoining utility designed to support the family with their self-sufficient butchery and homegrown cooking.

SUSTAINABLE FEATURES

The intention to the design was to provide a replacement dwelling with improved living conditions and reduced carbon footprint. High levels of insulation and the reuse of the biomass wood burner will combine to create a very sustainable dwelling.
