Project

After acquiring planning and listed building consent our client decided to convert the farm building in the far North of the farmstead.

SYMPATHETIC DESIGN

The three roof lights on the Southern roof were retained as they were essential to the welfare and wellbeing of the inhabitants to have natural daylight entering the building in perpetuity.

DESIGN FEATURES:

  • Honest window design
  • Open plan layout
  • Sheeps wool insulation

LOCAL COMMUNITY

The conversion of the Cow House has provided much needed additional accommodation to the local community.

  • Further housing close to the town centre
  • In keeping with the area

18th CENTURY FARMSTEAD

Without this delightful conversion that completes the preservation of the 18th Century Farmstead the building would of slipped further into disrepair.

  • Previously used to milk cows
  • Listed building
  • Beautiful stone construction
