Features:
Santa Marina, Trevone Bay
Alterations, refurbishment and extension to prominent seafront Victorian house in Trevone. The house was completely refurbished with a strong seaside feel, the double height bay was replaced with a more thermally efficient double glazed sliding sash bay which replicated the existing. A new dormer to the rear enabled the 2nd floor to have views of the nearby reef and new conservation rooflights enabled additional sea and bay views. The electrics, plumbing, heating, sanitaryware and kitchen were all replaced and upgraded to comply with modern living standards. The replacement extension is a timber frame structure insulated with reclaimed sheep wool, clad in western red cedar with matching curved glulam fascias, Sedum roof and folding sliding doors. The folding sliding doors enable the room to be opened up onto a re-designed private courtyard which serves as an inside/outside space with matching level floor surfaces. The works have enabled the building to become a versatile holiday let or flexible family home which is spacious, light and airy.
Gross internal floor area 197m2. Traditional procurement process with JCTMW contract.
