Redevelopment of Broadmeadows Garage site into North Cornwall’s first purpose-built Live-Work development consisting of 5 no. 2 bed Live/Work units. This new living concept is based upon a ground floor work area, 1st-floor bedrooms and an open plan lounge, kitchen, dining on the 2nd floor. ARCO2 designed and obtained the planning permission and our client sold the site and design by licence to a developer. Although we were not involved with the construction phases the building maintains many of our design concepts and specification including glulam sub-structure, interior and external appearance. The building features rear passive solar sunspaces with countryside views, cedar shingle roof, sedum roofs, solar thermal collectors for domestic hot water heating and large glazed areas to take advantage of natural light and the stunning panoramic views towards the Camel Estuary.
