Project Brief
Type: Residential / Conversion
Area (m2):
Budget:
Features:
Trecobben Farm comprises a barn and cottage, originally converted in 1997 into one single dwelling house, a range of traditional and modern outbuildings all set within approximately 54 acres.
The property has locally distinctive characteristics built with a high level of craftsmanship and impressive quality of materials, generally granite and natural slate. Although the building had been extensively refurbished by a previous owner, it was our clients wish to amend the internal layout to create a more suitable family home and at the same time rectify the misuse of cement for pointing not suitable in a building of this age, damp problems and lack of insulation as well as the conversion of a detached barn into a home office. The extent of amendments resulted in an extensive refurbishment including re-roofing, fascia, gutters, re-pointing, new joinery throughout, new staircase and landscaping.
