Chark Farm is a holiday accommodation project in Bodmin, North Cornwall, designed to provide flexible and comfortable spaces for guests within a peaceful rural setting. The project combines traditional Cornish character with thoughtful contemporary design to create a calm and welcoming escape.
The accommodation was carefully planned to suit a wide range of guests while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding countryside. Natural materials, simple detailing and comfortable living spaces help create an environment that feels relaxed, practical and easy to enjoy throughout the year.
The result is a collection of characterful holiday spaces designed to support rest, connection and slower living in the Cornish landscape.

SYMPATHETICALLY CONVERTED
Alot of consideration was taken in all aspects of the conversion including the windows, which have been designed with vertical emphasis helping to maintain the simplicity of the barn conversion.
Design features include generous natural daylight, spacious open-beamed ceilings, and the retention of mature lichen-covered slate roof tiles to preserve the building’s original charm.
BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE VIEWS
The barns have been sympathetically converted to accommodate bedrooms on the ground floor and living on the 1st floor to maximise the beautiful countryside views.
Design features include a peaceful setting among rolling hills, quiet spaces for relaxation, and a landscape surrounded by stunning natural scenery.
COUNTRY HOLIDAY LETS
The barns have been designed so as to allow for flexibility i.e. both barns can be used as one holiday let or two holiday lets.
Design features include the preservation of the building’s original character, integration with the on-site horse riding centre, and the retention of existing dove holes to maintain historic detail.
