Named Spectre as it looks like it should be in James Bond! This beautiful house was designed to be discovered as a landscape feature with the panoramic country views only realised when you enter the building. A picture window provides a snapshot of the view and the full 180 degree view is revealed as you descend the stairs. The building has been designed to compliment the landscape and be extremely discreet when viewed from afar with natural stone, shou sugi ban cladding, large overhanging roofs and wildflower. Despite the recent hot weather, the building has kept a very constant temperature, partly due to ensuring appropriate shading of glazing and thermal mass. As this is a self build project we are not expecting to see completion until 2024, but do keep an eye out for further updates.
