Crafted Interior Architecture Inspired by the Landscape

This carefully designed stairwell combines craftsmanship, materiality and natural light to create a calm and immersive architectural experience.

An oak cantilevered staircase is framed by shou sugi ban clad walls and a discreetly illuminated stone backdrop, bringing warmth, texture and depth to the interior palette. Near frameless glazing captures the surrounding slate rockface and vegetation beyond, helping to create the feeling of being nestled sensitively within the landscape.

Flowing throughout the home, the beautifully curved ash ceiling creates continuity between spaces while subtly responding to scale and movement. In some areas the ceiling lowers to create a more intimate, tactile experience, while in others it rises dramatically to enhance volume and frame views towards the estuary and sky.

The result is a contemporary interior that balances architectural clarity, craftsmanship and connection to place while supporting a calm and deeply liveable coastal lifestyle.
