Contemporary coastal home under construction featuring sedum and wildflower green roofs, timber cladding, natural stonework and slate roofing nearing completion.

Construction Progress Continues as This Contemporary Home Nears Completion

Significant progress continues on site as this contemporary coastal home moves ever closer to completion, with many of the key external elements now taking shape.

The scaffolding is gradually being removed, revealing the carefully considered combination of natural materials that define the building’s character. Timber cladding is now complete, slate hanging is well underway, and the stonework is nearing completion, showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have been integral throughout the project.

Sustainability remains at the heart of the design. The sedum and wildflower green roofs have now been installed, together with integrated irrigation systems that will help establish thriving roofscapes, supporting biodiversity while allowing the building to sit more naturally within its surroundings. The terrace wildflower roof will follow shortly, continuing this seamless connection between architecture and landscape.

Attention is now turning to the final external finishes, including the rendered soffits and walls, while landscaping works have also commenced, with external levels carefully being formed to complement both the building and its setting.

Inside, first fix has been completed and plasterboarding is now well underway, marking another important milestone as the internal spaces begin to take shape.

With progress visible across every aspect of the project, it’s exciting to see the architectural vision becoming a reality. We look forward to sharing the next stages as this exceptional home continues towards completion.
